Are you starting to lose your marbles because of the lockdown in your country?

A new survey from Kelton Global shows that 25% of Americans have reached their "breaking point" because of the lockdown and say if it continues, they will SNAP!!

The 20 minute online survey with 1895 American adults shows that 1/4 of them said they're at their "wits end" if they stay stuck inside by today, April 29, and those numbers will only increase if it's longer

72% said they will reach their psycho status by June while 100% will have snapped if they're stuck inside by the end of September

The company said "Our findings highlight the increasingly serious implications of stay at home orders, and puts some urgency on the actions of politicians and organizations who try to manage the COVID-19 fallout"

Women are more likely than men to reach their meltdown while Gen Z say they are the most overwhelmed

Loneliness, feelings of anxiety and arguments with loved ones are the most common reasons as this matches data from Apple's Mobility Trends Reports that shows an uptick of americans fed up with the orders

Travel plummeted across the US in March after going into lockdown in an attempt to flatten the curve as recent weeks show anti-lockdown rallies, mainly from Trump Supporters who are calling on an reopening

75% believe air travel will not return to how it was before the outbreak and 72% believe public transportation is also affected

They believed sporting events, concerts and movie attendance will also not be the same as 65% feel worried about the virus

Are you starting to lose your marbles yet from this lockdown?.

It's not that bad for me since I have no kids. I can walk around outside without a mask on as long as I'm not near anyone. I don't want it to get to the stage where you need a specific approved reason to go outside; I'm surprised people don't massively revolt against that in places where that's the law.

The lock down is awesome!

Work from home, so I can wake up later and not need to commute (I fucking hate driving, and waking up early, so...two-fer!). Dial in to meetings so I don't have to sit in a room and try to hide my annoyance as someone rambles on about nothing for 20 minutes.
And it's spring allergy season and I don't have to go outside!

I could do this permanently, it's great. Kinda dreading having things return to normal, if anything. This is so much better.

(I realize it sucks for other people, especially those who have to physically go into work still. This is just how it's "affected" me)

Exercise! Push ups. Ab crunches. Squats. Go outside for a walk if you can. Any little amount you can do each day is better than nothing.

I wish I could quarantine, lucky. Instead I'm out there risking my life giving people the least inefficient most unnecessary form of food you can think of for moneyyyy.

We should be prepackaged food only, but for some fucking dumbass reason people are still talking in my face and I'm getting little specks of spit I can feel land on my face.

It was great until I got furloughed last week, now I want it to be over. Today or tomorrow, if possible. However, while other governors have sensibly re-opened in some form, Ned Lamont is hellbent on destroying CT's already lousy economy. You know, when Dan Malloy was in office, I didn't think we could possibly get anybody worse, but we wound up with a guy who CT had already rejected multiple times for various offices who only won because his sole primary opponent had gone to prison over bribery charges and because CT's republicans somehow managed to nominate the worst possible candidate in its race, a guy who iirc hadn't even been in the state that much nor so much as voted in prior elections.

Well, until the insane +$600/week unemployment boost runs out, it should still be pretty good for you.
In CT it's probably close to $25/hour (if you were to divide the total weekly amount by a 40 hour work week) to sit at home, right?

EDIT: Also, it's strange.... You'd think it'd be harder to find jobs right now. But in the past week I've had three separate recruiters try to contact my based on a resume I had used like a decade ago, trying to see if I was looking for work. Usually only get like one every 6 months (haven't been looking for a job in a long time, so anyone looking at my clearly long outdated resume must be searching far and wide).

Even assuming I get it, I still won't be making what I was which annoys me. As it is, I know people who were laid off in mid-March who still haven't had their unemployment claim processed and the few who were approved last week didn't get the added $600 for the weeks before it was processed. Plus I'd rather work for my money anyway.

All of which is also overlooking the greater issue of long-term economic damage the longer the shutdown continues. You take a state like CT which already ranks near the bottom of the nation in terms of economic growth and a shit economy and put it through this and it won't even get back to where it was for probably close to a decade, let alone where it needs to be. To crib a talking point, restarting the economy won't be like flipping a switch. Even when the doors re-open, the lights are staying off for a while.
