Until the end of 2020, at earliest.

We've been under quarantine for 6 weeks now and cases are still significant as are deaths. We need to get real as if we are being bombed by Russia or something.

I'd like to see strict stay at home orders, as in, you don't leave your house, period. I'm not sure how we can enforce this but it can be something like rotating military inspections by the army and maybe a volunteer army as well. We can arrange to have food delivered to people like oatmeal placed at their doors with a bowl of water a few times a week.

horders might not do much, if anything. As some people still have essential jobs and have to leave. And people always need essential items like food and water. People are only suppose to be doing that right now, so they might not care. Some places are even giving out ticket to people who are out at certain times without going anywhere essential. But it would be hard to tell if they are or not without following them. And we don't have enough people to follow every person outside. Some places also have curfews. Which might not fully work, either...

Look, everything you've said is 'successful' is the stuff we're already trying, and we're moving at a snails pace, tons of new infections and deaths, idiotic things like mass protests to end shutdowns etc. This is not successful.

You're saying people will ignore this. Well we need to get creative. Electronic monitoring on all citizens. The military can keep track of the most 'problem' spots with remote surveillance, head down and make an example of these people. They can be given prison sentences for 5 or more years. We have lots of people looking for work - we can make these people prison guards and have them construct speciality prisons to hold these people.

Once people see this shit happening they will fall in line more and more. Combine that with rotating in-person military (either the army or new volunteers) monitoring of residences we will get this to fucking work damnit.

That would cost a lot. For electronic monitoring on everyone. And even the military doesn't have enough people for that. Especially while they're still working their owns job. The military can drop off daily rations when they make their inspection rounds. Nobody should leave the house for any reason. It's like everyone wants their grandma to die.

Yeah. I 'd rather just do what we're already doing. Daily rations don't really do much, anyway. It would become way too complicated... With the number of people in the house, allergies, and riots when people don't get enough food...
