Got a couple of bottles stashed before the quarantine. Wanna mix up my late night libations a little. What's the best thing to with it other than drink it straight?

Well its more if a shot but I imagine itd be fine as a cocktail.

1:1:1 of whisky, sour apple schnapps, and either cranberry or cherry juice. Splash some sprite or club soda or ginger ale in there.

Enjoy.

I'm a fan of Manhattans (2 parts whiskey, 1 part sweet vermouth, 1 dash bitters, stirred with ice and strained) or Boulevardiers (a Negroni variant - equal parts whiskey, sweet vermouth and Campari, stirred with and strained over ice).

If you just so happen to have fancier liqueurs, one of my buddies came up with a Haymaker - 4:2:1 ratio of high proof bourbon, green chartreuse and maraschino liqueur, stirred and strained. Easy drinking, and flavorful, but hits like its namesake. (Pretty much a Last Word with no sour component and an attitude problem.)

Man. Hard to tell if people are purists or feel like straight whiskey all the time proves something.

Actually, you're onto something.

Try a hot toddy.

I have a lot of friends who enjoy whiskey+flavored tonic water (I.E. la croix) but its not really my thing. When I drink liquor I prefer to drink gin

I started drinking Canadian Club because it's what Don Draper drinks on Mad Men, so I can't really judge.
