In a candid interview, Davidson was asked by The Breakfast Club host where he saw himself in five years and SNL was not included in his future plans. In fact, he said thinks he should be done with that show because they make fun of me on it. Im like, cold open, political punchlines, he said. Im like, Weekend Update jokes. When Im not there, theyll be like, Huh huh huh, Petes a fing jerk face. And youre like, Whose side are you on?'.. ...I have a weird feeling in that building, where I dont know whose team theyre playing for if Im the joke or Im in on the joke, he said. Most of his jokes seem to be about looking like a mixed-race person, college awkwardness, sex awkwardness and his fathers 9/11 death. I dont know if hes changed much recently, but he was an Ok comedian who really did come across as a dimwit. His SNL characters all seem to be morons. My one big criticism is that he breaks character often in SNL skits where hes not playing Chad.
