If Goku didn't have outside help, he would have lost.
Also Vegeta should thank Goku, because of their adventures he has become literally one of the strongest people in the entire multiverse, when before he couldn't even stand up to some of Frieza's army

Vegeta had his chance at greatness. He was surpassed, and now he jobs to villains while we wait for Goku to come and clean up his mess. :P

Goku wouldn't need outside help to stomp Majin Vegta with SSJ3, he just didn't do it. But you're right, TC, Goku has never beaten him

I'm pretty sure both Goku and Vegeta has long since realized they need each other whether its their rivalry that pushes them to the next level or because they know they'll have to depend on each other when the next big threat comes along.

i also don't think Goku should be leap frogging Vegeta in strength if they're going to go the biology route for Saiyans. Hell, goku had several teachers and still couldn't even dream of matching up to Vegeta at beginning of Z, even with king kai training, no Kaio-ken meant he couldn't hang around for long. Vegeta basically taught himself through battles. Logically speaking, with such a gap like that Vegeta should be the stronger one of the two in terms of power level.

I know AT hates Vegeta though so thats why he is always second fiddle but if a dude like Frieza can go from irrelevant, to relevant by training for four months then Vegeta should be much stronger than he currently is

I'm actually okay with Vegeta being behind Goku. Goku is the main character, he should always have the spotlight. Watching Naruto, I hated Sasuke getting more or equal spotlight against Naruto. I'm glad AT knows where each character actually stands.

The series has already been over for 25 years so i'm sure nothing will change but it reminds me of the one punch man series, where nothing matters until Saitama swoops in and saves the day because none of the other characters are allowed to finish a fight. I think its actually parodied in DBZ Abridged when Perfect Cell tells Vegeta to be a good boy and wait for Goku

Eh, Goku is like the guy who scores 99s on his exams while Vegeta gets 96s.

At this point, they're equal. As soon as one of them surpasses the other, the other catches up and goes even further beyond, and then repeat.

It's what I love about them, especially Vegeta. They don't stop.
