I've met and heard about plenty of people who do the worst things imaginable in the name of a God.

If you think that sounds off, then God just relayed something that was inherently true to people, so it's entirely possible to find the same truth without God. --- "That is why war is so tragic. You dont need to believe in a deity or supreme being but I do feel you need some kind of belief in something greater than yourself. That could be a secular philosophy that understands that cooperation, altruism, and love lead humanity forward, or that goodness lies within humanitys collective unconscious or that it is embodied in an innate Force if youre more spiritual minded
