Basically the Rock and Rap boards are the only active ones. Whats the point of having message boards for various types of music if people arent going to actively discuss them? It sucks that youre basically screwed if you dont listen to rap at all and want to discuss artists that are sort of rock but apparently dont qualify as being true rock music according to the elitists of that board. Can we just get one single board for ALL types of music so that way no one feels left out?

There's too many boards and they're multiplying every day. While users not so much. Hell, you can now literally make your own board to sit around on and talk to yourself instead of hijacking a pinball machine's board. Which brings me to wonder why individual pinball machines have boards and FAQ sections.

I can't imagine much more beyond ball bouncing and discussing how the bumpers look and articulate. I don't even know the last time I saw a pinball machine that wasn't old as hell.

the rap/hip hop board is a community in every sense of the term, with its own culture, memes, creators, collaborations

shame that other boards never reached or maintained that critical mass, and with this site's boards in decline, i suppose there are more thriving forums for enthusiasts

The music boards were always atrocious. The metal board has its own set of rules separate from the ToU and they could essentially give you a 3KL if they didnt like the music you had posted.

Yeah. I said that a few times back in the day too. Makes no fuckin sense that they don't. I've even discussed R&B there at times and no one stopped me. Just merge them. Radio stations been doing it for decades

The Movie/Television split is interesting too. Techincally Netflix/Hulu shows are supposed to be discussed on the Home Media board. But enough people said fuck that to point where it gets discussed on the cable board. At this point gamefaqs should be like reddit and just combine the tv boards. No reason to split them anymore and divide those communities.

Are you sure about that? That would kill decent discussion on the movies home media board if people went along with it. The random quote topics are bad enough but if there was people discussing Netflix shows it'd be ruined.

Mainly I find what gets deleted there is music that's clearly designed to troll or make people angry.

Posting all the 11 year olds who are becoming rappers now is generally frowned upon (YoungKDB, Suigeneris, YNW BSlime etc). Hell say what you want about her, but Bhad Bhabie is the third most successful female rapper by sales right now, and a lot of her stuff still gets removed because people mass downvote it.

WSHH links are also sus, since you can pay to put whatever song you want as an exclusive with them. So if it's something with a lot of downvotes, it's likely to get axed.

It's strict, but personally I think that's a good thing because it keeps your second cousin's "Fire Ass Mixtape" off the sub.

I was being literal combine TV boards. There are two. One for broadcast and one for cable. Combine those and make one tv board and allow the Hulu/Netflix/Amazon/etc stuff to be discussed there as well.

It was when VI Seconds put out a song and I posted it, asking what people thought. Look, I'm not saying I didn't break the rules, but just posting and asking the opinions of a song on a Reddit dedicated to that song's genre shouldn't require me to read the rules of the fucking Reddit. I don't have to do that on CE. Got a question, just fucking ask. I can't even ask simple questions on fucking Ask Reddit without reading all the Flairs and rules and, blah blah blah

It's a fucking joke. I hate Reddit with a passion. The only good place is the Pro Wresting one, SquaredCircle, because zero of my topics there get auto deleted and I don't have to limit my posts to 1 fucking post per-10mins like on the Portland one.
