I was still watching it through the end of the season before last (so, through May 2018 I guess). But I don't think I remember what a single episode was about those last few seasons, or really ever laughed. It was just a formality to keep going after all that time. Dropped Family Guy at the same time too, still better but similar rationale. One that stands out in my mind is the episode where Krusty goes back to his roots of being a circus clown - that was a lot of fun. It's still hit-or-miss, but I do agree with what @WazzupGenius00 has heard people say - the recent seasons seem to be a noticeable uptick. The "misses" these days are just unmemorable/inoffensive, from what I've seen; it's been a long time since I've seen true excrement on the level of "That 90s Show" or the Moe's bar rag episode. They're always much funnier and more interesting than any of the episodes where it's just Al Jean by himself. I'm not saying they're perfect, but they're usually at least decent, and all of the best episodes of the past 7-ish years always seem to have him involved. If you're someone that is thinking about going back into the show, but are worried about how bad it can get, skipping all the episodes besides his isn't a bad idea. --- Okay, I rolled a 14.
