Most of the styles are similar, most of the technology is similar, etc...

It was drastically different between 1975-1990 for example, but now it seems stagnant.

Smartphones are the main change in society in that time. It's been a big impact (I'm sending this through a smartphone while at work) but the main impacts of it have been social instead of about the technology itself. Social interactions have been very different since the introduction of smartphones. Apps and constant internet access has changed us greatly.

Smartphones, media streaming, hairstyles, facial hair (like, no-one had a beard when I was at college), like even just our games consoles being connected online or most people not actually using HDTV by default yet...
