The first area is so fucking terrible. They give you zero cover and put you up against enemies that have all the cover, then you get shot at from above by enemies you can't see, then you don't have good cover against the enemies up top when you get to them.

I hated it because Max Payne 2 had a happy(ish) ending for Max "I had a dream of my wife. She was dead. But it was all right"

And then in Max Payne 3 he is worse off than ever.

I enjoyed my time with it. There are certainly better shooters, but bullet time is fantastic and the gunplay is good. My biggest issue is that later enemies take about 3 million bullets to die, but it's not that big of a deal.

If you liked the first two games then you will like MP3. The gameplay is relatively unchanged and of course the writing is great.

What

The game play is very different.

Besides being a third person shooter with bullet time it has nothing else in common.
