They spend 3 days just talking about each game which is boring, then they spend only 1 day on only 5 bland categories, then the last day just ranking the Top 10. Also, the fun categories like Hottest Mess are nowhere to be found.

What the fuck. I always loved listening to their GOTY podcasts but it looks awful. What the hell happened!?

I liked having like 20-something wacky categories as well as stuff like Please Stop, Hottest Mess, and Worst game of the year

Pretty sure they had to change the formats because of her, give her her turn to talk and have her shut up the rest of the time

They changed it to this format last year and I have no idea why. It's much less interesting.

Yeah, them talking about the games last year was so boring. Cuz they just go on about different games that I frankly don't give a shit about. But at least they had some good categories last year. This year just feels so lifeless and lacks any charm at all.

There's so many good fuckups they could've talked about this year in Hottest Mess. Fallout 76 bugs, Blizzard revoking that guy's winning and silencing pro-Hong Kong stuff, THQ Nordic doing a AMA on 8chan, Google Stadia, WWE 2k20 being completely broken, Anthem, I think Randy Pitchford did something dumb again this year.

I gotta relisten cuz it's been forever, but I just remember Abby being the big pusher for Dream Daddy while someone else (Alex or Austin I think) was like "You're fucking insane if you think Dream Daddy is better than Yakuza 0" but somehow Abby pushed so hard and got it in cuz only 1 or 2 people played Yakuza 0 so there wasn't anyone else to go to bat for it.

That legit made me rage when they put Yakuza 0 at number 11 >_>

More people had played through DD and came away with it positively than more people did Yakuza 0. The whole point of their top 10 every year is to pick one game to fight for, Alex was ok waving the flag on Yakuza because he made an incredibly strong push to get Nier higher.

Besides I'll take them fighting for an unknown game over Jeff just shitting on the majority of games that aren't shooters. Seriously he was insufferable this year over The Outer Wilds, he had no argument as to why he thought it was a bad game other than it was bad.
