Yeah I get that what made the original so good is the fantastic writing and how it played with so many tropes of the horror genre. I've heard a lot of concerns about how a sequel would be needless, just rereading old territory, but I honestly think in this case that's an awful argument.
The premise of Cabin I'm the Woods has so much potential that it could easily make a dozen movies without getting old. Set it in other countries and explore the history of horror in other cultures. Shift the focus onto the background workers and the impact of what they do. Ignore the more self aware aspects and give us a movie that just seeks to feel satisfying without worrying about a greater meaning. There are so many options for a fun movie with this, and I'd love to see various directors take a stab at this. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It was fine but it's definitely overrated in view of how people worship it. It has a lot of great ideas in its premise but it doesn't fully capitalize on any of them. If you were going to rework it you should do a TV show and not additional movies, and even then I don't think you can do the actual "tricking people into an evil ritual with pheromones" gimmick without it becoming old immediately. Really the golden nugget here is just SCP Containment
