Old school revolver is just keeping it on an empty cylinder, you'll cycle to a loaded one the moment you cock the hammer back.

Not all of them. The most notable would be the SAA as i mentioned, and nobody would carry something like that for self defense. Most modern defense revolvers that someone would realistically carry are hammerless, or have a hidden hammer and are double action. Even service revolvers are carried in a cocked position in a holster.

If your new to holsters or unconfident then its time to practice and get used to having one in the chamber.

In any situation where you actually need your weapon having to rack the slide to chamber a round could cost you or someone else their life.

You must be ready to fight if something happens not hold on while I get ready dead man/woman.

Isn't it protocal to let loose multiple rounds into the center of a target's body mass if forced to shoot?

Does the added safety an empty chamber provides somehow fuck with that?

A cop should be the last person to have a bullet in the chamber at all times.

I still think those holsters where you draw by pushing down and it chambers a round are the coolest thing.

The time it takes to ready the weapon could cost you your life. ESPECIALLY if you are a cop. Because odds are, the bad guy has his gun ready to go and is going to spring it on you when you least expect. This gives you even less time to prepare and fire back.

Hes a fucking terminator, if he gets shot its not going to matter, hell it slow walks to many kills instead of bum rushing to endure the target dies.

A person even wearing armor nerds to be ready to fight as unlike the terminator no normal person can afford to let a round him them.
