...stronger than Luke and Anakin/ Darth Vader?

anyway, just saw RoS, and I liked it.

I'm not sure how I'd rank it, but it was good, IMO.

Eh, probably not. Tbh, I really wouldn't worry about how these three movies fit in with the original six. I don't think much thought was given there by the writers, so it's an exercise that can only cause frustration to the audience.

There were so many little things that drove me crazy in episode 9

But in broad strokes, it was not bad. It at least had decent structure, unlike ep 8.

No. The only thing accurate about that spoiler is that Ben was turning to the dark side.

as far as i know, there was no hint in the previous ones that he was the one pulling the strings... unless i missed something.

I'm not sure if it's established in the current canon anywhere, but it was in the old EU.

Mandalorian spoilers
Baby Yoda used it for the first time on last Wednesday's episode. So it was weird seeing so much of it in the matter of 2 days.

I dunno, I think you can get away with that when the trilogy begins with the subtitle The Force Awakens.

Evidently the Force itself was holding back for the last six movies.

It existed in the old EU, so even if that isn't canonical anymore the idea of force healing isn't new.

Established in the old EU that Disney decided to adopt, most likely. Like Luke's force projection power in TLJ. Also like other people said, it was shown off in the Mandalorian too.

Essentially Force powers always seem like they've been made up on the spot to benefit the story being told.

I never liked the crazy force powers in EU and other stuff. The force seem so relatively...minimalistic (for lack of a better term) in the OT. The most craziest power we see is the Emperor's lighting and Luke using the force to assist them in jumps/falling.

It's like how in Lord of The Rings how the wizards there weren't shooting fireballs and doing God like stuff with their powers. It's subdued. Of course if they did a sequel Gandalf would come back and smash castles with his mind and shit.

On another note, it is funny how certain fans go "You're just mad at TLJ/ROS because they didn't follow the EU and Luke wasn't force Goku!" then go "Lol it's in the EU. Quit bitching".

I guess it only works since they're a dyad, but seeing how Rey and Kylo Ren could physically interact over long distances, and give/take items from each other in that way, I would have also liked to see a Force Teleport kinda ability

My friend and I said it would have been a great ending if the rebels had taken over a Star Destroyer and started charging the Death Star laser with Kylo standing on top of it, then Rey and Kylo do the Force link whatever thing and Kylo is like "NOW!" and Rey jumps out of the way and Palps is just like well f***.

They did

I've mentioned it in other topics, but somewhere on the web there's an archive of a very primitive usenet discussion from 1983 about the release of RotJ

One of the users complained about how the Emperor used lightning because "There was no indication before that the force could do stuff like that"
