You sit up and realize there's a lot of people sitting and staring at you. "You there! Do you know what your arrival did?" a man asks. You're too confused. How did you end up here? Why do you have all your memories when you're clearly not supposed to? "No, I don't." you finally say. "You killed the tyrant with your arrival. And it's for the better of you ask me." a woman replies. "Take his place! You'd make a fine ruler!" another woman chimes in. You can't decide. Lokarin posted... Wizard of Oz? that's what I thought of too I guess the question boils down to something like: rule over a strange undefined kingdom, or keep living your current life? I think the decision about whether to stay or go home would require a lot more information about that world. Do my best to make their world work, and with whatever reserve workforce explore the situation of returning home. Between those, consider a successor for if/when I find a way home. For me it's entertainment. If its a medevil type setting they better have stage plays with good music on a regular basis with plenty of booze. Familar enough in terms of landscape and what technology they have available.
