at least the new trilogy has a closer balance of the two extremes

Eh 1 & 2 are bad but at least the story makes sense.

TRoS treats the force like its a Marvel super power and it feels like its from completely different saga. The cinematography and music are all on point though. But during your drive home from the movie, there are several things thatll make you say wait why did that happen and how???

TRoS was a mess, but it didnt frustrate me as much as TLJ and it wasnt as boring as Episodes 1 and 2.

But those are just my initial impressions. I also liked TLJ after my first viewing.

From someone who isnt a star wars fan at all and was actually surprised at the ending of episode 3 when anakin turned to dark Vader (I seriously didn't know he was Vader as a teen I wasn't into star wars amazing film to watch with no knowledge) with that said I found TLJ to be a ok film at first. As time went on I read the reviews and I gotta agree with them TLJ really did divert and crash this trilogy. I'll wait for Ros to hit rental but I dont have high Hope's for it.

Let's see

The Phantom Menace had Jar Jar and nothing interesting happens except the Podrace and obviously the Glorious Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Maul lightsaber duel
Attack of the Clones ruined Anakin, the love scenes were dreadful and had the worst acting I have seen in a big blockbuster film
The Last Jedi ruined Luke, Finn, and Poe, and fuck all happens in that movie plot wise

Yeessshhh all 3 of those were not so good movies. Maybe it's mostly nostolgia but I find bits and pieces of the first two prequel movies more entertaining than the borefest that is The Last Jedi.
