as someone who has never played PUBG, I can confidently say yes.

It's probably in a different register, but the Italian film 5 Dolls For an August Moon definitely fits the description of a murder mystery tinged with dark comedy. It's not the best movie of its director, Mario Bava, who specializes in straight-up horror films, but it's the first movie that came to mind. It's very late 60s, early 70s in its aesthetic. And the actress Edwige Feneche was one of the sexiest actresses of her time.

I saw Knives Out today and loved it. The characters were all so good.

Murder Mystery

...Yes, it's an Adam Sandler movie. But I thought it was pretty decent. Dark comedy throughout and generally pretty clever. The mystery aspect was well-done, too.

But yeah, Knives Out was awesome.
