People describing him as "alt right" must be trolling, or have never actually sat down and listened to some of his podcasts. He's a liberal leaning dude who has some central viewpoints, but since he challenges some stuff the extreme left believes, everyone here labels him "alt right"? Jesus. Not even close to being alt right.

"Woke" liberals just love to through around labels to try and discredit viewpoints they don't agree with, and it's hilarious to me. Real progressivism looks like Joe, who's willing to sit down and chat with anyone with an open mind. Labeling him alt right couldn't be farther from the truth.

They're entirely valid for lots of people who believe in that kind of stuff. You don't think sitting down and talking with one of them would be beneficial to see why they have those specific viewpoints?

I just really hate that this guy thinks he knows everything when his takes are some of the dumbest shit in the world. I swear this dude see's a headliner article about it on Insider Business and then does a quick Google glimpse through about it and then acts like he knows every detail about it pretentiously. He really truly believes in his own bullshit. He's dumb as fuck but can sell himself as a dude whose enlightened and ahead of the curve and he has a mass fooled.

Letting someone come on your show and spout propaganda unchallenged is not a good thing. It's not "open minded" or "free thinking". Society is in no way improved by handing Nazis the megaphone. They operate by preying on the ignorance, prejudice, weakness and bias in the human mind. They attack the reptile/monkey parts of our brain. So when you give them a platform, you are simply poisoning legitimate debate, not widening it or improving it. Previous generations fully understood this and knew that the only thing to do with a Nazi is say "shut the fuck up, you Nazi" because convenient lies travel a lot further and faster than truth and nuance.

It's one thing to invite them on and tear them apart, it's another thing to sit and nod while someone tries to get people to believe in white genocide or something.

The dude is incredibly more articulate that you, apparently. I doubt you've sat down and listened to a single interview from him, honestly. Listening to Joe speak...I don't see how anyone could seriously call him dumb. He's clearly very intelligent. The guy reads a TON, and is super informed on most things. He's not just skimming articles after a quick google search.

But since he doesn't share your viewpoints, I guess you can try and slam him for being dumb. Whatever floats your boat, buddy :)

Only way to educate someone that they are wrong is to sit down with them and have a conversation with them.

Man, he's got people like you fooled. I've heard his podcasts, the dude makes a ton of dumb takes. I remember when he went on this spiel about how wolves were endangered because they used to kill humans... which is a shockingly ignorant stance, particularly for a hunter.

I've seen a lot of people that have a baseline assumption that if you want to deny a platform to someone, it means you're incapable of challenging their ideas and simply want to silence them instead. It's presented as intellectual laziness and bullying. But that's not what it is. If we're going to have an equal society, some things have to be acknowledged as settled and beyond debate. Like the value of human life for one.

Not ideas are equal. History has proven that some need to be dismissed out of hand. And different ideas work differently than others in the marketplace of ideas. It's assumed that the truth wins, but very often it doesn't. The truth can get it's ass kicked because it's uncomfortable or complicated of because a lie has more resources behind it, is shouted, and makes people feel good or gives them someone to direct their anger towards.

That's exactly why when he has Milo or Gavin or Molyneux on, having Bernie on doesn't cancel it out and make him fair and balanced. The bigoted but viral lie is helped a lot more by being legitimized and spread than the truth is.

The onus isn't on me to make neo-nazis not be genocidal maniacs or teach them how that's wrong. The onus is on them to not be a shit human being. My responsibility as a person is to stop them from enacting their agenda.

Gavin McInnes is a white supremacist and leader of a documented hate group. Stefan Molyneux is also a cult leader and far right white supremacist. Theyre nazis
