Steam trading cards >_> Mostly for the badges. I have way too many (559 badges).

Also might get into this Arkham Horror card game since they ended the second edition of the board game and all the expansions' prices shot up.

I have a decent collection of NHL cards a lot of rookies from the 80s and 90s. As a kid I obsessed over those Marvel and X-Men cards, took real good care of them, stored them away, anticipated they would gradually increase in value. They turned out to be virtually worthless. I took my entire collection to a comic book store like 8 years ago and they offered me one dollar for 800 or so cards.

I used to collect baseball cards, still have a fuck ton but at my moms house.

I know sports cards are hit or miss these days, some years theyre selling and some they arent. Rookie cards and anything with a jersey or field or bat or stuff like that is where its at.

Lots of Magic, baseball.

Some decent sized collections of dead (and near dead) CCGs & LCGs.

Some football and hockey. A little bit of basketball chasing Luka and Zion, but i don't follow the sport. So that was 100% a rip and flip.

About 20 years ago I spent about $1000 on baseball cards. I had 70's, 80's & 90's rookie cards, all kinds of shit. 15 years ago I had the collection appraised - it was about $1000.

I sold all the cards I was speculating on and just kept the ones I liked. The only reason to collect cards is because you like them. Speculation is too hit or miss and IMO a waste of time.

I've still got the hockey, baseball, Pokemon, and Yugioh cards I collected as a kid somewhere in my closet.

I have a little over 1000 Pokemon cards remaining. Over 800 NHL cards. and many more across Star Trek, Star Wars, Terminator, Batman and more that I came into a few months back. I've been trying to unload them all.

My brother apparently was huge into ....fuckin shit, those tower movies (lord of the rings, there we go), cards of those. Fuckin boxes and boxes of them, have no idea if theyre worth a thing but theres quite a few boxes of cards I havent really gone through.

the ccg cards can be pretty good. if they're just trading cards... look for autographs.

I don't live near any card or hobby shops, im fighting the urge to go out to walmart and picking up a retail upperdeck hockey tin and looking for some young guns
