I haven't played it in like two years or however long it's been since a week after it came out

For some reason I left it on my shelf last month when choosing to sell a bunch of old games I hadn't touched in over a year

Has my decision been rewarded

So is the expanded content pay to play? Are there multiple different versions of this game with various expansion packs?

Not looking to invest a ton of money to see if I'd like this game or not. $20 would be pretty ideal for me. Maybe as high as $30.

It's been a lot of arcade fun for the last year. I kind of hate the insane focus on the clone wars (the game has all three era's, but 99% of new content, playlists, maps and modes are around the CW) but the other content is still there, just buried. Progression system works in two ways; you level up each class independent of each other and get access to new cards which can be skills, power-ups or alternatives to one ability slot. As you level up the class, you can also level up the cards in tiers, which cost a bit of in-game currency. That same currency is used to unlock skins of which there is still a very low quantity, with the exception of clones and heroes.

Game looks beautiful, arguably better than BF1 or BF5. Runs extremely well on my old hardware, and is a blast to play. They just added the classic BF2 conquest bot mode but the bots are... really stupid. There is also co-op botstomping which is 4vbots, but hilariously easy. funfact: You can use the new co-op mode to rank up your classes absurdly quick to the point of almost making the levelup system now obsolete.

As far as I'm aware the game got rid of everything pay to play with the exception of a new bundle that gives you all the skins, or the option to pay like $20 and get enough e-currency to get all the skins. Not a single map or mode is locked behind pay anymore. It says I have 23 hours in the game (over years) and I have like 2 million e-bucks and bought all the skins I want. idk if that's the case now with a new user curve.

Battlefront 2 literally became better by turning more into old Battlefront 2.

The command post takeover and starfighter SP arcade was literally how it should've started all over again.
