I work overnights in cardiac monitoring at a hospital and it isn't a physically demanding job (we sit there and watch heart rhythms and report changes) but it is a very mentally demanding job. You have to do a lot of memorization and know what's real/what's fake. Especially on night shift when the hospital is less staffed.

I'm in the military, besides the required bi-annual PT tests I feel like I haven't really done much of anything the past four years.

Weather manFor every 5 minutes of TV presence during 5 oclock news, weather men do 5+ hours of computer analysis forecasting to get a better prediction than competitors. It is tiring mental labor for those few minutes of payoff to be in front of a camera. And thats assuming you are the lead meteorologist. The assistant meteorologists dont even get camera time. I had a job riding a motorized floor scrubber in a warehouse for 6 months. I had to dump the tank and hose it down, but that's pretty much it. Easiest job ever. I would have stayed if I had any desire to live in that town.

The problem with my "not much work" job is that the trade off is the number of hours a night I have to spend on the phone with nurses, supervisors, doctors, etc... about what patients did at what time. I'm responsible for keeping track of all of that.
