Instead of allowing for longer posts, removing character limits for URLs, or allowing certain symbols, or removing certain problem mods, you know, things people actually want, they spend their time looking for things to fuck us over with and implementing them. What the actual fuck.

I dislike how an extra line appears if you quote someone without adding something of your own. I always forget to remove it.

It's not part of the Posting Form so this doesn't work, it's some back-end coding.

This was a necessary decision due to changes in the new posting engine.

Okay but the new posting engine sucks without it. It doesn't even make sense. We're dealing with something less advanced than Microsoft Word. How hard can it be to re-implement such a simple feature?

Everyone should send feedback tickets demanding this be reverted. We were able to get rid of the off-topic flair for the single day that that was a thing.

I don't think the off-topic flair should have been removed it should have just been filtered out by default on every board. Like you should have had to manually turn it on every time you wanted to see it.

In general I'd like to see less board division and better flair filtering. Like, instead of having separate boards for Pokemon versions + yet another for trading, just have it all in one board filtered by flair. Making flairing posts mandatory and don't default "General" as the selected flair.

The off topic flair basically made it so that every board automatically had a social equivalent.

That's a really dumb idea. It would make general discussion more cumbersome. Very few people actually want to use flair filtering.

BTW, I presume the reason the new posting engine is difficult to work nested quotes into is because of the option to click on the username and see the original post. How many people are really going to use that?
