Because the beginnings only hard due to no options but group healing on anyone plummets the difficulty for the rest of the game very early in the game.

The most frustrating game for me ever, because I got it when there was a crack in it. And it would work just enough to tease me, but always crash eventually. I wanted to play that game so bad when I was a kid, and I just couldn't make it work :(.

that's pretty much every rpg ever aside from a few that give the players option to start op or like DS where if you pick bombs at the start you get a good weapon in the first boss fight if you do it right
and even when i see people harp on the game being easy the same people shit on FF8 for having the monster level up with you to provide a challenge for the player they hate the mechanic's like this

Due to the lack of healing at the start, its decently hard. Once, and soon, you can give everyone multiple heal alls then its very hard to not out heal any enemy in the game.

Like CTs very low difficulty isnt a problem. Unless you want a challenge. Robos group healing is hilariously OP. Puts the actual healer to shame.

Actually I finished CC like 10 times. I don't trash games hard unless I've played and finish them.

Difficulty isn't the problem with this game. The problem with this game is the God-awful shitstorm of a plot and the piss poor uncharming and unrelatable characters.

FF per 7 is easy if you know the kinks and gimmicks of the game the only thing hard was the final dungeon monsters killed me more than the final boss now if you said the SMT games now those i understand since they are challenging i still remember the day i lost my will to play when demi fiend beat me for the 20th time god this was draining and i didn't even try satan since i knew his gimmick is just as bad as demi fiend

I really have no idea why they went with that gotta catch em all roster of interchangeable accents. One of Triggers strongest aspects were its character-based quests. Then Cross goes and literally nixes a major quest because they didnt want to make one character more important than the others >_>

I mean I'm not gonna lie, the game does have its charm but to think of it as CT's sequel is a let down IMO and I'm usually very optimistic about things. Should have just called this game something else TBH.

from what i remeber the game was rushed and had conten cut to relese it faster which is sad really you can tell the story felt rushed or cut in some chapters i wanted the game shade more light on the dino era or more insight in the war that was happening aboard
on the other hand i like the game gave us a lot of character's to try for the replay for the other endings i always feel bored when a game has a bunch of ending and yet the character are the same set same reason i love suikoden(remastered suikoden 2 sadly will never happen with konami the way they are these decade T_T)

CC was a great, compelling game right up until the Dead Sea where the story goes crazy and never recovers.

I really like CC but the amount of characters is stupid considering you can literally only use 2 and the main villain is pretty bad.

Due to a MAJOR plot event having the main character silent but the villain talkative is really really stupid and honestly im not sure how certain events happened if the main were supposedly silent.

It came out in the US in August 2000.

Chrono Cross is fun. The story makes little sense but the locations and music is great. The new game plus mode is probably one of the best in any game.
