It'll go the way of mobas: A couple of established ones will maintain popularity and a steady player base, and new rip-offs will stop coming out.

It's a genre now, though. It's not gonna "go away." It'll just slow down and stabilize.

Who cares honestly? It's just another game mode. People can play what they want, I give no fucks who calls themselves a "gamer" or not.

Almost immediately after Apex Legends came out. Once there was competition, it took the spotlight away from Fortnite and everyone who doesn't play Fortnite suddenly remembered they don't care about Fortnite. They're both still going strong as far as I know, but no one cares anymore. It's no longer the Golden Goose.

Fortnite just had something of a reset, so its much closer to the good days. Im liking it so far.

My prob with fortnite tho is the build freaks who will inevitably win. My flick csgo headshot skills can only get me so far coupled with my plebian building skill.
