I hear that The Stars, My Destination is good.
I've heard it described as a sci-fi The Count of Monte Cristo. I've read a little, but I like it, so far. Ishmael is also pretty interesting from what I've read. it has a telepathic gorilla. Mogworld Jam Will Save the Galaxy for Food I have some nostalgia for the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, but I haven't read any of those recently so. I also have some nostalgia for The City of Ember but again, haven't read recently. Haven't even finished this series, but I might also wanna recommend the Seventh Tower series? Iris Johansen writes good thriller/ mystery? type books. The Shannara series is good for fantasy stuff.
