Police are still trying to find out what type of gun was used to shoot this young woman in the chest. At least three people were in the house at the time of the shooting: The victim, her mother, and grandmother. Police are still searching for the people responsible for taking this young woman's life. Neighbors said they heard the shooting going on in the street, but did not see who pulled the trigger. At this time, authorities don't believe she was targeted. Further, they are usually pistols as those are easier to steal and conceal. Based on the area and how it happened, it was most likely a gang shooting, so logically it is most likely an illegally obtained pistol. That illegal pistol was once a legal pistol. And it would have been a lot harder to obtain had pistols been completely outlawed for civilian use in the US a couple decades ago. Point being, the problem with guns in the US is that they're too easy to obtain just because of how much they've proliferated our country. Even if we completely ban guns tomorrow, it'll still be a problem for decades to come. You can say theres more guns in australia now than ever before, but theres still adequate restrictions to get them and you cant just buy them off the shelf.
