Anyways, as a semi-straight guy I've always thought I was weird af for owning 100+ pairs of drawers. But I also don't really like to wear the same article of clothing more than once so their is that too -_-

What is the difference between "semi-straight" and bisexual with a fem preference? Why would you buy so much underwear only to wear each pair once? If you're literally only seldom gonna wear each pair why wouldn't you throw them away or give them to the Salvation Army to make more room?

Used to be a lot. Like I would get a scratch or tear or a stain on something and I would immediately throw it out and buy a replacement, but life has humbled me into keeping things longer than I usually would.

I have a lot maybe 30 or so. I dont know. I probably only use like 16 or so since every 2 weeks is about how often I do laundry.

Also, I've heard a story that David Beckham never wears the same pair of underwear twice. I don't know if this is true or not.

Word of advice for anyone who cares about this stuff: cold wash, never tumble dry. The heat will fry the fabric, gradually destroying it by thinning the fibers until they're made too weak to bind. If you ever wonder why the fit starts to loosen or the material isn't as comfortable as it used to be, that may be why. Applies to all clothes, really; if you want it to last, hang it out to air dry for slow, but worthwhile results.

Anyways I'll be first to confess that I have way too much of the stuff haha. I'm in a not-so-ideal environment where I'm not able to express myself outwardly, so as a means of retaining my confidence I wear lots of vibrant, colorful stuff underneath. Without too many words, it's some peace of mind in a kinda fucked up situation.

Yeah hanging clothes out to dry is pretty simple. But it definitely sucks for certain items that end up all wrinkly without a dryer.

But I have an apartment. There's nowhere for me to string up a clothesline so I'll have to continue to tumble dry my undergarments on low aside from the lacy numbers which I air dry indoors.

I may actually own 20+ including older stuff I haven't tossed yet, but I rotate thru the newest 9 or so that I like best and only wear my other pairs if I haven't done laundry in over 9 days.

Iirc mzero and I both live in Asia and based on that.. almost definitely a smaller area than your apartment. The thing is the items to hang clothes to dry...very common in Asia but not really found in the US. They make items to hang clothes without an outside clothesline, they just aren't prolific in the US.

Yeah, this is about right. I have backups just in case I can't make my regular laundry day, but I only wear about half of what I own.

I'd say that number wouldn't be too surprising for a girl, given the impact that Victoria's Secret and other female clothing retailers have had on glorifying female clothing (particularly bras and underwear). Those retailers have made it look rather acceptable for girls to have a large collection of bras and underwear since they're produced in a wide variety of different designs (referring to the color of the clothing itself).

Guys don't have as much choice with their underwear options, as the designs are more limited. So there's no incentive for guys to buy lots of underwear, plus the lack of a major retailer that has the same impact on male clothing that Victoria's Secret (and others) have on female clothing.
