I'm honestly pretty amused by the idea of PO being very young.

I mean there is really only the two options here.

Lol at how mad PO made these guys by simply not liking some games. I even like most of the games he listed but who gives a fuck

One of these days I'll actually get back to Morrowind. Thankfully, work is wrapping up with Brave New World - and hopefully for good this time.

I know someone like you. At first I thought he was kidding, but no he's an actual contrarian. His primary concern on how much he likes something is how many other people like it.

I don't even dislike them because they're popular - I disliked most of them before they were popular. They just don't appeal to me in any of the aspects I actually enjoy in games.

I'm sorry that reading comprehension is not your friend.

For what it's worth, I like plenty of games that are popular. I just dislike THOSE popular games. And I mentioned them in the first place because far too many people online act like it's an outrageous statement for anyone to dislike them for any reason. Which is a very groupthink mentality. Which, as I am pointing out, is bullshit.

(it is, in fact, an actual logical fallacy - the argumentum ad populum, or consensus fallacy)

The thing most of those games have in common - now hold on to your butt here - is the writing. There are other factors (Ocarina is the first 3D entry in a franchise and followed directly after Link to the Past, Undertale relies on bullet-hell combat mechanics, etc, Chrono Trigger uses Toriyama art, which I tend to dislike), but all of them have narrative elements, characterization, or presentation that simply doesn't appeal to me, in one way or another. In Chrono Trigger's case, the problem is likely that I played Chrono Cross first, and felt like Chrono Trigger wasn't as good. With Undertale, I liked the concept of the game more than I liked the application of it - I find it clever, but not necessarily something I want to play through. For Ocarina, the problem is likely that I'm not a 90s kid - by the time it came out, I was already in college and generally looking for better storytelling. I really haven't found any Zelda games all that interesting since Link to the Past

It's almost as if people can like or dislike games without actually caring what other people think of them. Imagine that!

Especially since I would have had to be a fetus when I first made my account.

Ironically, I was older then than a number of PotDers are now.

I really, really want to get into it. My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion and, as others have noted, going backwards in the series is very hard due to the newer games just simply being more accessible.

I have played Elder Scrolls Online at times which (rightfully) got a lot of crap at the beginning of it's life cycle. Now it's in a good place and it really scratches that Elder Scrolls itch I get every once in a while. The Morrowind expansion for it makes me want to go back and try the original game just to experience the world and the lore.

If you dont mind cheating but playing it on console there is a glitch where you can basically make yourself a god. Also there is a legit cheat code to regenerate health magicka or stamania but only one can be active at a time.
