1.Terry, 2.Iori, 3.Athena, 4. Marco, 5.Kyo, 6.Hoahmaru 7.There is nothing after this.

Terry really does make the most sense. He's basically been the companies main mascot other than the half decade where they tried to hard push Kyo. (Which is also the time the company was at it's absolute lowest.)

SNK actually originally considered Terry to be Ryu's rival. Card Fighters came out before MOTM and CvS.

Well considering SNK had their own platform for a while. I think outside the SNES and the Switch they didn't really have a ton of cross over. A lot of the Switch's library right now is random SNK classics tho.

KoF and Garou have a lot of randomly good tracks. SNK isn't Square. They would throw in a ton of tracks. I fully expect Whatever Jazz-y theme of Terry's they like best, Geese theme, Arashi No Saxophone and Esaka. Then maybe some more.

I have no issue with Terry being DLC tbh. He's been truckin' since before I was even born, he's a genuinely surprising pick and the soundtrack possibilities are nice.

If we had to get a third-party Fighters Pass, I feel like this turned out as well as it could have, assuming #5 is a reasonable pick too. (Hayabusa, the apparent front-runner, qualifies.)

At this point, I'm pretty certain if Geno was ever announced for Smash, (unless he comes off as a complete badass through the reveal) people would stop caring very fast afterwards and he probably would be played very little after the week he comes out (unless he ends up broken/strong in tournament play).

I'd honestly prefer if Paper Mario is chosen as the Mario RPG rep. That's a more logical choice than a side character from an almost 25 year-old game.

Really, I don't even think Geno fans are any worse than the Smash community at large.

The problem is, Smash has hands-down the worst fanbase in gaming. The speculation could be contentious in the Brawl and Smash 4 days, but Ultimate really seemed to scramble peoples' brains somehow. I feel like the Waluigi hysteria - first from salty Waluigi supporters, then from the "protect Sakurai's smile" virtue-signaling crowd - was what finally pushed things beyond the pale, and it's only gotten worse from there.

Though I think my least favorite faction of the fanbase are the people who whine every time Hungrybox breathes or takes a step. Jfc...

I fully agree with this though, Paper Mario would be my ideal choice. I do think it's kinda weird that there isn't a Mario RPG rep yet.
