Super Sonic Racing is decent but a bit too cheesy for me.

Match 2 very good. I love a large chunk of the SPM soundtrack including this one even if it's not one of my absolute favorites, but unfortunately Silence in the Sunlight is near peak Trails music for me. Which probably means it will do badly since it's not a battle theme, but whatever. (side note: In a weird twist though I actually don't care about the normal version of Silence in the Sunlight? One of the rare cases were the Evo version is a vast improvement to me. In most cases I like the slightly less real sounding instruments of the normal version, but this song isn't the type of song I want sounding artificial, and also the switch from guitar to violin in the evo version is very pretty.)

Human Fall Flat should have been in the main contest and if it manages to lose this match I am going to be very sad.

Easy first and third matches.

Second not that hard either but worth noting i like both songs noticeably more than average in their respective soundtracks and sets helping it be almost the highest quality match today except not because super sonic racing

I'm not sure why i feel I've heard Don't Leave in a different game. Perhaps it's just that generic.

First two matches are sort of no-brainers for me, I really like Ripple Dot Zero's OST as well as Super Paper Mario considering that one is my own nomination, so already those two songs are probably gonna be real high for me, and they're against two songs that focus on two elements I particularly do not care for -- Vocals & Orchestral high strings respectively. To be fair Super Sonic Racing has some nice digital synth stuff going on, and SinSFTT has an alright sort of mysterious air to it. But even if those two songs were not built with the parts I don't care for, my votes probably wouldn't change because the songs I'm voting for also do what I praise the others for but better.
(dang SSR is repetitive in a bad way and gosh I love TOPPO)
(And if you're thinking "hey hey, FSC uses high strings too," well they're like, "artificial" enough that they don't fall under my strong dislike of high strings. And also the weirdish atmosphere the rest of sounds gives makes the song overall even better)

Snubs match is a little more...notable. Specifically in that this is probably the lowest I've felt towards both songs in a match so far (sorry!). MM5 Intro, to me, just feels like some generic little NES tune whose only notable detail for me is that it's incredibly short. Honestly maybe that's a bit harsh, but my sort of distaste for NES chiptunes overall probably factors into my low opinion of that, but then Human Fall Flat Dont Leave basically only focuses on elements I actively dislike -- Very limited instrumentation of mostly just plain piano, + slight orchestral strings, and an inherently 'sad,' slow moody tone for the whole song. To be honest, DontLeave feels like the song that "deserves" to advance, but it's a type of song I strongly don't care for so while IntroPt1 just feels like a weak tune with nothing for me to really care about, it still gets my vote over probably my least favorite genre of music without vocals

Sonic R - Super Sonic Racing: 6. My least favorite song from the Sonic R set, oof. This is when the blissful cheese of the soundtrack spoils over into stinky territory. Maybe it's because the lyrics aren't about anything meaningful like the other songs? That being said, this still isn't what I'd call bad - it's still catchy as hell. I'm still giving it a 6!

Ripple Dot Zero - The Oxygen Plant, Pt. One: 2. The beginning of this is way too shrill for me. Unfortunately the shrillness keeps going for most of the song. Pretty unappealing.

The Legend of Heroes: Ao no Kiseki Evolution - Silence in the Sunlight Filtering Through Trees: 2. Stereotypical Falcom-ish mysterious forest theme (going off the title) with those Falcom strings I don't like. Why do I like the "forest themes" that probably aren't forest themes more than this forest theme? I really really dislike that echo effect on the strings.

Super Paper Mario - Floro Sapiens Caverns: 5.5. Nice stuff swimming around here, like algae in the primordial soup. Nothing really hooks me and keeps me invested, but it's still kind of interesting.

Mega Man 5 - Intro Part 1: 5. I didn't support Mega Man 5, despite it being one of my favorite soundtracks, because I didn't like the setlist. This feels like such a random song to include. Like, it's fine, but surely there are stage themes that are better selections?

SSR feels a lot more fun than other Sonic vocal songs. I like the cheesiness a lot. Oxygen kinda boring.

Silence isn't the best Azure song, but it's pretty okay. Floro is kinda annoying.

Why do we have such a short song? It was basically over before anything even happened... Don't Leave sounds very Mass Effect 3 to me. In a good way.

MATCH 1

Super Sonic Racing is pretty much what I'd expect from a Sonic R song based on other songs I've heard from the game's soundtrack. I guess it's mainly because of the chords and beat. Pretty neat song. I'd say You're My Number One is my favorite Sonic R song out of what I've listened to before, but this is nice as well.

The Oxygen Plant is really cool! I'm really enjoying this rock instrumentation. This reminds me of the Zero Divide 2 song from the other day, so I'm not surprised that these are both Mycro's nominations. I think Ripple Dot Zero was on my maybe list for games to support (or did I support it? I don't remember) and songs like this one were the reason I had considered it.

MATCH 2

Man, imagine trying to hint for Silence in the Sunlight Filtering Through Trees in a guessing game. Dividing up points would probably be a nightmare haha. Anyway, this is a really nice song! Nice and sort of casual song that feels like you're going on an adventure. That flute at 0:20 is especially nice. Kinda reminds me of Route 10's music from Pokemon Black & White.

Can't say I really feel much about Floro Sapiens Cavern. It's not a bad song, but it's not really noteworthy to me in any way.

MATCH 3

Intro Part 1 is decent. It starts to pick up a lot from 0:10 onward and actually sounds pretty cool from that point, but then ends on a weird note. I guess it's not bad for an intro song!

Normally I like songs like Don't Leave quite a bit and there's a good chance that I'd vote for other "emotional sad songs" over Intro Part 1, but there's something about this particular composition that I'm not really a fan of. Melodically, it doesn't really interest me all that much. This song just sort of screams out "generic melody that's trying to sound sad." Maybe that generic-ness is the main problem because I know I'm very big on melody as an important thing for me in music. I wish I was good at describing this stuff because I want to like this song and there are, without a doubt, sad emotional songs that I would vote over everything here today, but I can't quite put into words what makes those songs so great for me and why Don't Leave falls short of that. I guess I will say that I don't think this song is bad and it's not even the worst song of the day, but there are much better examples of songs like this that fit my tastes.

Sonic R - Super Sonic Racing
This was such a hard vote for me to cast. "The Oxygen Plant Pt. 1" is amazing-- the sound is incredible and the composition itself is a delight to listen to. I love it and I don't like having to vote against it because it's amazing, complex, and one heck of a ride. But "Super Sonic Racing" is repping one of my favorite Sonic soundtracks AND it's amazing. TJ Davis's vocals are incredible and the lyrics are adorably cheesy. Great as both an instrumental and vocal track, this song gets my vote. I still really love Ripple Dot Zero but this song is personal, like turning this song on max volume on the freeway personal.

Super Paper Mario - Floro Sapiens Caverns
The Super Paper Mario OST fun vibe to it that gels so well with the game's cartoony art style. This song is ominous yet silly, finding creative ways to bounce around musically while establishing an air of mystery. I remember this song fondly and it was a pleasure to revisit. Super Paper Mario was the first game I ever beat all the way through; I always lost interest or got stumped on a level in other games. I love Super Paper Mario and I'm happy to give this song my vote!

Mega Man 5 - Intro Part 1
This song does a lot in only 36 seconds and I can really appreciate it. It's peppy and fun with an adventurous air to it, just the kind of song I dig!
