They're known as county fairs in North America, most other Commonwealth countries call them county shows, agricultural shows, or A&P shows. A typical show lasts 2-4 days and will have a livestock show, horsemanship and riding contests, food, arts and crafts contests, and exhibits of farming machinery and seed stock. Many American county fairs will also have concerts and entertainment, a carnival, food vendors, rodeos, tractor pulls and demolition derbies.

sometimes. this really small local fair (not even a country fair) in my hometown has got the foo fighters to show up and play classic rock covers for the last 3 or 4 years so I go for that if Im not doing anything. Got Taylor Hawkins bloody drumstick and one of daves Guitar picks

I used to raise and show pigs when I was younger. I dont attend nowadays, but I would like to again someday.

When I was a kid The school let out for Fair Day. I think the high school kids could ride a school bus to the county fair. Most of the kids were in the fair showing animals or other things, in contests and the parade. I haven't been in years though.

County fairs bore me. The last time I went was to make the woman I was seeing happy. I smiled and pretended to enjoy myself.

I've been there a few times. One time Weird Al did a concert, so that was pretty cool.

I'm not sure if we have a county fair where I live. Been to the state fair a few times.

Not really no.
I just go to Knoebels every year which is like a bigger better more awesome permanent county fair.

I did many years ago. They sold old Pokemon cards which was neat. I've been to several state fairs to see concerts

My parents took my sister and I to the florida state fair when I was a kid. Voted for i've attended one in the past before remembering it was the state fair though.

I showed animals when I was a child. Goats, sheep, chickens, and rabbits. I enter my photography as an adult. I don't really enjoy attending the fair any more. I will go one night to see if my photos have won any ribbons, but that will be all I do.

You never hear much about the county fair in my area. In fact I just checked and it literally happened last weekend and I never heard a single thing about it on the radio.

The state fair is a big deal though, and it is in Syracuse, the next city over. I have been a few times, but it is not something I would go to regularly. If someone asked me to go with them though I would.

Ive been to them, but not for many years. I do want to go to the one down the street from me, but never get the chance. I was suppose to go once with my BF, but we were busy at different times and couldnt go. And while I have some friends here, its not the type who go to fairs together. Usually games of some kind (video games, TTRPGs, drinking games, etc.)...

But I do want to go back to one again... at least for a little while...
