Apparently grey is more commonly the UK version but I feel like I more often spell it that way.

Even though I'm American, I think it looks better as grey.

Im American but prefer grey.

It just feels more like what it is. Hard to explain, but you know how a lot of people associate letters with colors? To me, A is red and E is blue, so a colder blue style is better for a neutral like grey, for the way I envision the word.
