I was like 6 for most of the year, but I do remember quite a bit. I recall watching the Spongebob movie in theaters. I recall hearing news of the earthquake+tsunami in the news. I remember watching Shyamalan's The Village and the Series of Unfortunate Events Movie.

That was high school for me (junior first half, senior second half). A lot of hanging out with friends after school and on the weekend, playing videogames and D&D.

My mom died. I turned 19. I also remember the earthquake and tsunami.

I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Napoleon Dynamite.

It was certainly the most boring year of my prepubescent childhood.

I remember a lot of good times with my godbrother and at-the-time best friend but unfortunately we grew up differently and walked down different paths of life. I also remember my parents partying like no tomorrow and slowly growing distant with my father who I now have no good relationship with. However, I will always be grateful for him taking care of me growing up since I wasn't his biological son and his strict, serious, no bullshit attitude helped shape me into the tough bastard that I am.

2004 also had some "rite of passage" moments for me such as getting into my first fist fight that I lost really bad where I tasted my own blood for the first time in my life and found myself lying on the road while everyone else in the vicinity laughed at me instead of feeling sorry for me like I initially visioned. This helped me grow some skin, realize how the world really was instead of the "happy-go-lucky" worlds that fiction portrayed to me while growing up.

2004 also gave me the first feelings of a girl's lips. All these prior moments gave me the courage and will to go out, be tough, be forward, and be confident enough to talk to girls, and more.

2004 was more rough than good to me while it was happening but at the end of the day, it was a learning experience for me that I will never ever forget and am actually thankful for. The only regret that I have is that I wish I could have had a better relationship with my father but shit happens.

It was freshman/sophomore year of hs.

I struggle to recall exactly when specific things I did happened though. It's sad

That was the year I finished first year Uni. Moved outta rez to go to Kingston for the Summer and do my military journeyman course. Met my first real love. Moved into my first apartment and started second year Uni. I also turned 19 (in April) which is the legal drinking age in the majority of Canadian provinces.

I would say that from April onward was probably one of the best years of my entire life.

Wasnt really good tbh. It was my fifth grade to sixth grade year, my parents divorced and my dad quickly remarried another woman with kids. I remember playing halo, Pokmon ruby, that Samus game on the game boy, Rome total war in particular. Aside from that, life was pretty rough

Plenty.

> actually having a full-time, stable job, and never worrying about money

> being bullied and harrassed constantly by the pyschos I used to work with

> being smitten with my best friend, and her having no interest in me whatsoever

> playing substandard Gamecube games, and being bored enough to play PC games

> posting on CE, with the Old Guard

> wondering if my horrible life would ever improve (it did quite a lot...but only for a while)

> still downloading rather than streaming with the internet

> reading, but not much

> starting going clubbing, and liking it

2004 was a pretty crummy year for me. Not completely horrible, but bad enough.
