One year from now(or within) I will be at 200lbs or lower, and in much, much better health. I currently sit at around 310lbs at 5'8"

you can do it. me and my gf lost a lot of weight in one year. i went from a size 40 jeans to a size 34. xl to l/m.

5'8 310? Holy shit. Hell I can help you out with some basic gettin up off the ground workouts. Just let me place some fishing line around your house. So every time you go down you have to work your ass off to get up. THAT should get you started, and get the blood flowin a little. Then we'll knock back a case of beer and hit the gym? Whattaya say?

You should start doing Muay Thai or boxing. Its a good way to burn calories and get in the best possible shape

At 310 5'8" just dieting is a good start. I'm also extremely overweight and have lost ~75lbs so far with just diet and slightly increasing activity.
