I totally get it. I'm the same way but at the drive-thru. Not matter what I always have to go inside and order, even if I'm getting something to go. Something about looking at a drive-thru menu just makes my brain go sideways and I don't know why. I get all nervous and stuttery and feel like I have to hurry up.

I have a similar thing where Im just way better in person than on the phone. I have no phone charisma. Kind of makes me anxious. As to where Im fine in person

Subway is better than quiznos. Theyve actually improved quite a bit in the past few years with the quality of their ingredients.

Sandwich shop hierarchy for Canada:

1. Mucho burrito
2. Mr sub (their superior rib sub)
3. Badass Jack's
4. Subway
5. Quiznos
6. Anything else
7. Tim hortons sandwiches

I wholeheartedly disagree with Quiznos being lower than Subway. Subway is shit.

For me, the order goes:

Quiznos, Mr. Sub and then Subway at the bottom. Sadly, the only Quiznos here closed down due to fucking Subway opening up literally right behind them, and people being idiots and going there instead of Quiznos. Mr. Sub would place higher, but the one we had near my house got replaced by a coffee joint, and the other one doesn't bake fresh bread, they leave it for about a week.

Wawa is better.
And a good local deli that makes hoagies good, blows them wayyy out of the water.

There's a couple of good small delis in town I go to when I feel like eating a sandwich.

I will get Jimmy John's pretty often though because of the convenience of getting food delivered.

Subway I pretty much never go to.

I'm actually not sure I have ever been to a sub place other than subway. it's not a sort of food I intentionally go out to eat, more like one I happen to get because it's nearby, and subway is generally the only one available

When I was a freshman, the only thing cheap and within a walking distance was subway and they took campus dollars. I got burned out so much by it that I havent been since.

Even though I know their chicken is probably half soy, their rotisserie chicken or buffalo chicken sandwiches just with some cheese and put through their baking oven is decent enough. At least it's relatively not bad for you. And is a huge improvement over any type of comparable fast food for your body. I would never trust the vegetables or something like beef from Subway though.

I worked there for 5 years...from 2002-2006 and then the summer of 2007.

Since then, I've eaten it less than 5 times. 2006, I would eat it like 2-3 times a day.

Their special turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce at thanksgiving was better than it had any right to be. Other than that eh

I like Subway in the fact it's the only sub shop that lets you customize your sandwich every time. if other places did that, I would go to them more often. I'm just tired of having to say I'll have X sandwich without x,y,z on it. Subway lets me pick out what I want on my sandwich.
