Was a huge fan of the Xbox 360, had a PS3 but only used it for exclusives since pretty much everything else on that system was garbage (online, controller).

Then the whole Xbox One launch fiasco happened and I switched to PS4. Got an Xbox One later on but when Scalebound was cancelled I sold it so I could get money for the Nintendo Switch.

Then a year later I realized that even though the PS4 had better exclusives and 3x the installbase, none of my friends were on it. So I got an Xbox One X and have barely turned on my PS4 since. I just find the Xbox to be superior to the PS4 in terms of online/graphics and the controller is a lot better than the PS4's.

It is indeed funny you're a fanboy of a specific console.

I went from a Sega fanboy to a Nintendo fanboy, and now I play on all platforms (well, still haven't got XBone tho but 360 is great).

My friends all switched to PS when the RRoD was happening on 360. Instead of using MS' great customer service, they just switched. PS+ was also free then, now I'm laughing at them. And they only play NHL, and back then it was that and CoD, so it shouldn't matter which console they own.

I have all three current-gen consoles. Three Xboxes.

I basically went from a PS fanboy to an XBox fanboy to a PS fanboy.

The PS1 was easily the only console of its era that I even remotely cared about, and while I enjoyed the original XBox I was still more in favor of the PS2. Then the clusterfuck PS3 launch went hand-in-hand with a lack of worthwhile exclusives for either console early on (my choice of which to buy literally boiled down to "Would I rather play Halo or Uncharted?"), and helped lead the 360 to become my absolute console of choice that gen.

But then Microsoft tripped over its own dick with the One, pushed every single feature I didn't give a shit about while ignoring things I liked, and completely failed to acquire anything resembling a worthwhile exclusive. Which I still consider to be the case, and with all the things they've said about their intentions next generation, I may never buy another Microsoft console again.

Of course, prior to the PS1 I was a fan of the NES and SNES, and before that I was a ColecoVision kid.

I was a tremendous Nintendrone when I was younger but I've dialed that back quite a bit and I enjoy my Sony consoles a lot.
