because it sucks

Characters everywhere to the point of new ones like Vision being spawned in between scenes
Twins handled poorly

Ultron is written poorly, compromising both his status as a scary villain and as comic relief

The logic of fighting and finishing off the AI is confused as hell

It's a movie that feels like you could skip it and not lose too much

-origin of vision + SW
-thor leaving earth leading to ragnarok
-how hulk showed up in ragnarok
-taste of civil war before civil war
-clint's family serving as the intro for endgame
-themes that spark the argument and hostility with tony and cap in endgame
-the first taste of cap attempting to lift the hammer leading into the coolest f'n moment in endgame

big and small details i wouldn't want to have missed going into subsequent movies but least of all endgame all because of AoU.

It's not a good movie but I wholly disagree with this. It sets up several major character and plot lines for the entirety of phase 3.

Its because its an Avengers movie thats really more important plot wise than it is an actual Avengers movie.

Theres so many things that happen in AoU that directly relate to a lot of the later movies in the Saga, so its important in that sense.

they made Ultron into a joke

they make all the characters have the same jokey personality . it reminds me of "bendis speak" from the comics. bendis is a comic writer known for making all his characters just talk the same like they are interchangable and not different people

they introduce and then fucking kill off Quicksilver. even though in the comics he's fucking important as hell to the avengers

It was a great trailer and a meh movie.

It was a great, but flawed movie. It wasn't the phenomenon the original was and the these last 2 have just been fantastic, so it gets lowest ranking. But I think it gets too much hate from some.

Tbf to the Joss Whedon Captain America portrayals though, he stayed a boy scout in his movies. I know he goes through a lot in Winter Soldier and Civil War, but he should've stayed a boy scout to the end imo.

I loved Age of Ultron, I love what they did with Ultron and his relationship with Tony. I loved Vision, I loved the team dynamics.
Imo, AoU was better than 2012 Avengers.

I agree with the boy scout thing. I highly admired how Cap stayed true to his morals. His foul language was kinda wack.

I feel like people hate on AoU way to hard. Its by no means a perfect film. But it is not as bad as people make it out to be.

It is not the weakest of the MCU by any means.

Yeah in a lot of ways it was better than the first Avengers. It's still entertaining, just not the kind of evolution people were expecting I think, and the Russo brothers did it right

This, he could've been an awesome recurring villain as well, but nope they turned him into a literal joke/quip making machine. The whole movie was littered with awful one liners and forced humor at stupid times, and don't get me started on that force romance crap. It's not an awful dumpster fire movie, but it certainly was below average in my opinion.
