oh no, some faceless data selling corporation will know about all the pizza I buy

Incredible deflection here, chapo.

I really wouldn't call it a deflection. I just found it funny that someone could claim they have any kind of privacy at all in this country. Unless you live 100% off the grid and use cash for all of your finances, there's someone out there that has your data.

We've given up privacy for the sake of convenience. The digital age in all its trappings. I don't agree with a cashless society because it's just one less aspect of your life that you have control over.

I can understand where you're coming from in that instance. I do agree that the idea of being mandated by the government to have an account and be required to use said account for all transactions is a sketchy subject.

Like if I'm at a Costco I really don't want to have to whip out my credit card for a $1.50 hotdog.

Anyone supporting a cashless society is basically supporting fascism.

Nazi Germany had fascism, and plenty of cash

Pretty sure they had no capability for electronic payments at consumer scale

Pretty sure there is no correlation though

There is. Surveillance states and fascist states both want to censor and control everything.

Yet every fascist state in history has used cash. The data isn't on your side.
