Although, after 16 year of insulting me and telling me I'm not good enough, I suppose they have damaged my general confidence plenty. So, that's good.

damn you have been in CE for 16 years?

Well, more than 16 and a half, actually.

Kilbotz, I'd like to think it's a mix of character-driven storytelling, with plenty of zeitgeistal elements. I mean, clearly Germany has a fascinating history, and I want to use that. If I don't talk about how people's lives were affected by Hitler and the Nazis, or by the Stasi, I'm doing it wrong. I admit, though, the couple of stories I want to write set in modern Germany, i.e. 1990 and onwards, I like the idea of writing them like generic Western stories. This is meant to reflect how Germany is now part of a global community, and so has blurred its culture with those of places like Britain and America, etc. This, I think, is reffered to as monoculture.

Writing can be very hard, though, even when you feel you know the subject matter very well.

Look at TC blaming others for writing the book for him

I don't understand. What do you mean?

I worry about you sometimes, and the choices you probably go and make in life.

That's pretty funny coming from a "writer" that hasn't held down a job whose label didn't start with "seasonal" xD

Yeah, except those 4 regular jobs I had. Spanning 8 years.

Also, I notice you didn't answer my question. Are in your late middle-age, as a deputy manager at McDonalds? Mmm...fries. And burgers.

Short stories that bounce around German history is a good idea. You can show time's effect on society, either positively, negatively or in some cases, not at all. My one suggestion for the future would be figuring out how to link the narratives and market them as a singular work. Your first effort will be rough but trying to sell short stories, if you aren't already an established name, will only make it tougher.

I'm sure all authors were just showered with support and praise from everyone when they wrote.

Grow a fucking backbone. You're writing this for yourself, not some people on a message board.

Hey, even if I did work fast food it's preferable to the NEET life. I would have no shame admitting that. I've posted about what I do for a living multiple times here, you gotta step up your stalking game

I guess I missed those posts. What are you, a computer programmer, like a bunch of people on CE?

TC, perhaps you should log off of gamefaqs for a few weeks and just start doing the hard work on your writing. Make a good start on one of the short stories you feel the most confident on and then build on that momentum from there.

I can't believe I decided to be a writer.

If only I could go back a few years in time. Like in the Terminator films. But nobody would die, Sunhawk would just convince Sunhawk not to become a writer. That'd be good.

Im of the opinion that adversity breeds some of the best writing

So clearly you use all of this negative feedback youve received on CE to write a masterpiece, then you dedicate the book to all of us

Alpha, I also worry about you. What is your job? What is your level of education?

I work in banking and have a bachelors degree in physics... Im doing fine bro.

Idk how you could insinuate otherwise
