Why don't people try to help the starving kids in Africa the 2 main usual reasons are 1. people send donations but the local governments are corrupt and keep the donations for themselves. the people never get it 2. the area is in a civil war of some kind and terrorists and militias and stuff make it too dangerous to make food deliveries to areas. in these kinds of places, psychos would kill anyone who tries to bring supplies to the people ... It's poorly explained, probably because the parents who say it never had it explained to them by their parents either, but the idea is that you should be grateful to have nice healthy food because not everybody does.
