Doesn't change that the product is incomplete without a day 1 patch.

I read on the official fb a month or so ago that someone had gotten ahold of the ending and had it circulating. Day 1 patch for the bonus/secret ending would help combat that a bit

I don't really understand why people are upset or annoyed by this...they literally do it to protect people from seeing the secret ending too early in case the game is leaked early, which has already happened as has been mentioned in this thread.

It's the secret ending from what I've heard and it will probably be available as a day one patch, don't really see the issue.

That's a possibility, but you can also just keep it in your harddrive and never delete it.

I understand the rationale that TC has. To me, though, the Internet and things like our consoles connected to it is expected these days. Sure there are people with no Internet or Internet with data caps, but they're the minority, and I understand why a company would make decisions based off the vast majority instead. To be frank, it's a "get with the times or fall behind" kind of thing. Similar to how I had to buy a new TV back when I was trying to play PS3 games on my dinosaur SDTV (lol, I know).

I don't understand the argument in favor of a secret movie being day one patch locked, though. The full game, with the ending and prologue, is on disc so it isn't a matter of keeping away spoilers. Best I can think of is the secret bonus movie needs some final touches while the game itself was ready to go gold.

I don't think it's worth boycotting, personally. It also just doesn't affect me and I see it as minor. but I'm not TC and I don't share his values. If he wants to boycott and stick to his values, props to him.
