Because you keep alleging the employee intentionally insulted her multiple times before the recording, which you have no proof of. They didn't "go out of their way". Saying "sir" to what is clearly a man is second nature.

And outside of that, people are responsible for their own actions. Threatening violence against words, especially as innocuous as what is shown in the video, is not right no matter how much your pretend it is justified.

I mean, you could say that, but before she was misgendered, she was clearly pissed about not getting a refund up to snuff with what she expected. Then it certainly seems like she took the opportunity to get outraged to make a scene Maybe she was before, but it certainly seems from the way she was speaking the first "Sir" was the first one we heard.

And really, a one-off that could have been solved by "It's ma'am!" instead of harping on it most likely, and then taking offense to "you guys"... It certainly seems like she was likely raising hell to get that guy fired. She was legit doing a trans version of "I need to see your manager for this expired coupon." This wasn't about being misgendered, this was about money.

And also, yeah, it might not be pleasant to be misgendered... But, what were the signs? Makeup? Possible. Pink? Lots of guys in general wear pink. Voice wasn't practiced or altered, hair could easily hide earrings. Already covered cross-dressers in my previous post, too.

The employee was handling it pretty well, but the customer was just being offensive to herself, the establishment, and the other customers as well.

He did switch to sir again, then back to ma'am, but I mean... someone not accustomed to it, we as people tend to judge people on what we see.

Any retail worker should know, you do whatever you can to not have the customer mad, and to make it a quick transaction.

Once the worker said "Sir" at the 25 second mark after the customer let the whole world know it was "Ma'am", it didn't help.

Just play along and call the person "Miss" even if in your head you are disagreeing.

I didn't watch the video as I'm at work. I can understand misgendering once, as sometimes it can be hard to tell (and, well, mistakes do happen), but if you continue to do so, after being corrected, that's just a dick move. Is that what happened?
