I adored the original, and everything I've seen of the remake looks amazing. I watched an hour long stream of gameplay in the police station and it was atmospheric as fuck and looked like re2 remade in HD with re4/re5 combat with re2 survival intact(with some quality of life improvements). The lickers are positively terrifying.

Same here man, I'm under no illusion that it'll match the original because of the times and I was in highschool, but it's exciting to see it reimagined for a new generation. Sucks it didn't make 2018 for the 20th anniversary of the original though. Gonna have to stay off the internet when it starts leaking.
