Only if a bill is later passed giving them back pay. By default only the employees who have to work, get back pay.

What's fucked up is essential government employees that have taken time off for the holidays (almost a good majority of them most likely) have to cancel their vacations now and go back to work while the non-essential employees are on leave. This is ruining so many people's holidays. If you planned a winter wedding at a national park you're fucked too.

It does. I don't support a government-funded wall in any way.

That being said, I have yet to give a single shit about a government shutdown anyway. They prove the Libertarian viewpoint as correct - that you don't need anywhere near as much government as the government wants you to believe you do.

If government shutdowns bother you, stop voting for people who send your money on bullshit - stop voting D and R.
