Finally felt ready to meet someone new. Was SO excited because I thought we hit it off.

It takes two to make a thing go right tho. If she wasnt feeling it then that's that, even if you were and thought she was, she apparently wasnt. And was probably being polite, it's just as hard to reject people as it is to be rejected, especially if you don't actually dislike the other person, but if you're just not feeling the spark then you don't jump into a relationship just because.

It stings, it stings for anybody, but dont let that be a reason for not putting yourself out there in the future. You wouldn't have even gotten that far at all if you didnt put yourself out there in the first place. These things just come with the territory, just try again, and just know it may happen again, but eventually you'll find one that clicks for both parties. But you won't get that if you shut it all down.
