I haven't watched much recently but I was watching a women's tag match on ROH yesterday. It was very painful, it felt like it was below amateur level. Almost none of the moves connected well.

I hear that some of the New Japan matches recently got 6 stars out of 5, so perhaps the training isn't that bad.

The indies seem better at least in terms of less promos, but the action can look a bit amateurish at times. WWE doesn't look amateurish but the matches so boring. It's not really their fault though if they have to wrestle nearly 300 days per year.

lol no. The women are soooooo much slower. As a soccer fan it is painful to watch.

There have been a few decent women's UFC matches lately. Not the biggest fan of women fighting but its somewhat enjoyable when its competitive.

That's only a recent phenomenon. Let's not pretend like the US men's team has been lighting it up in international play until only recently. That said, the women's team has slowed down significantly since the start of the decade. I'm just really disgusting by men's soccer here.

Yeah, I remember watching great female indy workers in my area back in 2011 so this whole current "womans revolution" thing comes off as very disingenuous to me especially since i've went back and watched old stardom matches from the same period that predate this whole narrative that "woman are taking over" and while I enjoy the in ring everything else can be slightly alienating to the viewer at times. I don't keep up with current wrestling week to week and just watch the ppvs but whenever I see the typical 30 year old female obsessed male fan decked out in sasha banks gear i cringe and die inside

On the other side of the coin i've i'd say i am probably the only person on this whole board that follows the LPGA tour..I enjoy watching female golf, and have also gotten into curling because whenever it is on TV it's mostly the woman competing. I follow racing so I am aware of the different female drivers that run in their respective series.

I believe there is plenty of room for females in sport and in the future the whole face of how it's perceived could be changed if the right mind was behind it and the initial investment is there. I don't really feel like getting into a long winded explanation of it, but essentially sports would take the shape of what female idols are in japan and each girl would be marketed with their sport being the platform for their personality and look to sell posters, dvds, trading cards, and meet and greet segments to lonely neets and desperate males who dont understand that its an entertainment business (like weird twitch donators)

Women's soccer is miles worse than mens. I'd rather watch my team get smashed 7-0 in a proper mens game, then see my womens team win the 4-0 and play hilariously bad soccer.

Well no shit it's more entertaining if my team wins and I never said that women's soccer was better than men's soccer in general.

I prefer women's badminton, tennis and table tennis over men's ditto. Women's fencing can be pretty great.There aren't really a lot of other sports I watch regularly, but women's soccer is also pretty great. Who cares if they're not as fast as men? They're not competing against men anyway.

I'm pretty sure you didn't understand the premise. Exclusively with US international soccer, the women's team has better coordination and execution than the men's team. This isn't about women's soccer on the whole. It's disgusting that an account that posts made up stories about encounters with women wants to pretend like they have a clue about soccer in order to post sexist bullshit. Like, you have no clue how team sports fucking work. It's no fucking secret that the men's teams clearly outclass the women's teams internationally.

I mean, did you have an answer to the topic title or did you just want to talk shit about women's sports? Like, it's one thing to be an account that continually makes up shit about your encounters with women, like Scotty_Rogers. It's another thing to do that while also showing that your ability to contextualize an argument is compromised when women are involved.

The men's team disappoints me so much. I get that the women's team doesn't have as high of a ceiling as the men's team, but the men's team has only recently started playing with some high tempo efforts, mostly due to having players go overseas and learn the game. The US Women's team has shown that they know how to win and have won. The US men's team has disappointed me so many times when they start playing prevent defense after getting a goal, or waiting until way too late to decide that maybe they should actually start pressing the attack so they can get back into a game.

That said, the competition that the men's team does or might face is lot more stifling than the what the women's team regularly faces. When the women's team lost to Japan in the WC earlier this decade, I remember specifically being mad that they started doing what the men's team does and pulling off the gas and playing not to lose.

I wasn't aware I was responding to you, sorry. I just had the impression that someone favored world cup games over league games because one has less diving than the other. That's ridiculous.
I agree that diving is less prevalent in women's soccer, but it's definitely becoming more popular. And it'll keep coming more popular if more money enters the sport.
