Just have one question...what's the point of making a robot character that acts and speaks more human than the human characters? L3 was so out of place and awkward. But that was the only thing that was...The Last Jedi was chalk full of out of place characters and scenes by comparison.

Otherwise a pretty good movie. Nothing great. No real edge of your seat moments and pretty anti-climactic, but not every movie needs that I guess.

I still haven't seen the movie, but i saw a bunch of theories that she was supposed to be a caricature of certain people at Lucasfilm that Lord and Miller found annoying/funny, and either it slipped passed everyone or the scenes were too integral to remove after they were fired.

There are also theories that she was more indicative of how the original tone of the movie was, and for reasons unknown wasn't changed with Ron Howard came on board.

It's just amazing how much stupid shit gets put into movies considering how many supposedly intelligent and talented people it has to get by first.

It was good enough to me that Id like to see it continued with sequels. It was nothing mind blowing but it had a lot of great Star Warsness in it with at times awesome effects/cinematography and I did really like the actors and acting, plus we got that little set up at the end.

I really thought Chewie was portrayed phenomenally in this movie and want to see these characters again.

It's actually a good movie though.

But yeah L3 was the only part that felt off. Everything else was fine.
