Yes because once you reach the point of needing to farm them that's all you'll have left to do anyway before new content next year. So if you continue to play the game you'll be doing them anyway.

Most of the stuff in the store never seems to leave so there's no rush. If you're impulsive and can't control yourself (which is what these companies count on) then that's a you problem.

So your argument is that the items don't cost too much because farming them up is meant to hold you over between actual content drops?

I'm saying they don't cost too much because with a little bit of effort and patience you can easily earn them for free just by playing the game. The grind isn't terrible and a lot of the challenges do fit into "normal" gameplay so it adds up naturally for the most part.

Like I said, if you're a little Veruca Salt then that's a you problem and deserve to get fleeced.

and by a little bit of effort and patience you realize we're talking about 10-20 hours of what you admittedly call boring content, right?

1 hour worth of your actual wages or 20 hours of in game hard labor for a damn paint job....

Nothing really wrong with grinding in an mmo to acquire currency or items with a low drop rate, but no way should anything in the cash shop of a paid title be that much. That's f2p cash grab bullshit.

Just cause something exists in another genre doesn't mean it works in all genres, or hell at all. I mean do you want mobile "games" play style in a 60 dollar game?
