All amazing movies. Aliens in particular is awesome because it wasnt afraid to be different from its predecessor and still pulled it off brilliantly.

Although I have heard some people argue for Terminator over T2 and I just don't get it. I mean, Aliens and T2 ARE perfect sequels. But my favorites are still Alien and The Terminator. Something feels especially...special about them. Like lightning in a bottle.

Terminator 2 probably should be the textbook example of how to do a movie sequel, it's perfectly done in that regard. By its existence I say it even enhances the original Terminator experience somewhat.
Alien and Aliens, though... compared to Terminator, something seems... off with this pairing. Can't explain why. Probably has to do with the fact that the genre dissonance between these two is way more severe than the Terminator films.
