Despite being one of Konami's oldest & most prolific franchises, only four have been released in the US:
Legend of the Mystical Ninja (SNES, 1992)
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (Nintendo 64, 1998)
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (Game Boy, 1998)
Goemon's Great Adventure (Nintendo 64, 1999)

I've played a couple hours of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon for the N64, but that's about it.

There's two N64 ones & they're different genres. Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is a 3D Zelda-style action/adventure with some platforming elements incorporated, while Goemon's Great Adventure is a 2.5D platformer.

The Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, both the N64 one and the Game Boy one.

The N64 one was one of my favorite games on the console, but I never finished it because we never had a Controller Pak.

The Game Boy one was a POS.

Beat the latter and would say it was one of the better games on the 64

Goemon's 2 for N64 is easily some of the best, most challenging side-scrolling of the time.

Both N64 titles had some of the coolest music around too.

Beat both N64 games both unique and feel different the first game is a mix of OoT with Mario64. 2nd game is awesome I just didn't like that you couldn't replay the boss battles. 2nd game is like Crash and Tomba.

Yep. Finished the original on SNES, the sequel on Super Famicom, and the two on N64.

Tried to play the Gameboy one but it was kinda bad. I also tried the other Japan exclusive games but those are impossible to beat without knowing Japanese.

Gorgeous, My Stage is awesome, and several years ago, I was part of a successful effort on board 8 to get Spring Breeze Dancin' into the character battle. He made it as like a 13 or 14 seed and lost with like only 4% of the vote, but it was great to see him in the contest at least.

The SNES game and Mystical Ninja starring Goemon.

Mystical Ninja is legit and should be remembered better. It's Ocarina of Time before OoT.

Have you heard about the Goemon spin off set in a post apocalyptic future?
It's weird that Konami thought that was a good mix.

Played both of the N64 games and wondered why people never talked about them. Now years later they've gained a cult following, which makes me happy.

I don't think either were exactly hot sellers, but I feel like Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon was a game a lot of people probably rented... there was probably a brief boom in sales for it the months leading up to OoT's release too.

Great Adventure on the other hand is one of the N64's rarer titles...

Yeah, Mystical Ninja at least comes off like it sold better. To me it just seems like they both have enough charm and atmosphere to them that they deserve to be remembered instead of being those kind of games that just fade away after any release buzz dies down.

I beat Mystical Ninja Starring Gomen as a kid. I didn't have the thing to save so I left my N64 on for days. The little robot samurai dude (last character you unlock, you gotta find his batteries) was my favorite. I'm also remembering some claw machine mini game that I had fun with.

It always bothered me how far you have to get in the game to unlock Sasuke. Regardless the lake with the gigantic tree where you find one of his batteries has great atmosphere and music.

Loved the first SNES one so much I actually imported the second one, after reading about it in magazines, which at the time cost a ton! Greatly enjoyed the N64 game as well.
